In fall 2025, the Government of Nova Scotia introduced the Making Business Easier Act to improve efficiency in the mining sector, support responsible resource development, and drive economic growth across the province while maintaining our high standards of protection for people and the environment.

We are seeking industry input through a short (10-minute), anonymous survey to inform development of a policy to recognize qualified professionals who provide technical advice, opinions, and certifications for mineral resource projects. To reduce duplication, the policy may allow certain professional advice to be accepted by government with limited or no additional review.

The survey also provides an opportunity to indicate your interest in contributing to other aspects of the Making Business Easier Act.

The survey will be open from Monday, April 27th to Wednesday, May 20th and you are encouraged to share it with colleagues in your networks and organizations who may have relevant experience or insight. High-level results will be made available after the survey period ends.
